Radisson Manchester

Cambridge Seven was commissioned to transform this 300-room hotel, made famous as the site where politicians and journalists from around the world set up shop during the presidential primaries, into a modern, elegant destination for travelers to New England. Cambridge Seven renovated the dark, heavy porte-cochere to create a light, welcoming point of entry, accomplished through the use of a modern glass canopy, dynamic lighting and elegant columns. Inside the hotel, the team transformed the lobby, lounge, and pre-function areas from a 1980s-style oak “fern bar” into a clean, contemporary, stylish space with warm cherry paneling in a modern, fresh geometric design. This sophisticated aesthetic is also apparent in the redesign of the grand stair, which is now sleek and transparent. C7A’s design work in Manchester was recipient of Radisson’s prestigious “Renovation of the Year” award.
