The Museum of Discovery and Science hired Cambridge Seven to provide master planning, architectural and exhibit design for the addition of 34,000 sf of space to their 81,000 sf building to accommodate increased visitation and provide the Museum a greater presence in the Fort Lauderdale community. Designed as a seamless extension of existing exhibit space on the northern face of the building, the new addition, called the EcoDiscovery Center, contains exhibit galleries, an outdoor otter exhibit, support spaces for exhibits and four classrooms.
