Cambridge Seven was commissioned to design The W Hotel, which, when built, will be the tallest building in Providence. Designed for a sophisticated clientele – both discriminating hotel guests and stylish city dwellers – the project boasts 191 beautifully appointed hotel rooms and 76 luxury condominium units ranging in size from 900 sf one bedroom to 2,500 sf three bedroom or greater. Rising 37 stories, the building will have commanding views of the skyline, canal, Rhode Island School of Design and Brown University. Roof gardens, health spa, and private terraces add to the luxury of the project. Satisfying the developer’s vision of integrating the building with the surrounding urban context, Cambridge Seven has created a modern, heroic building of glass and cast stone that will be a dramatic new addition to the city.
