Cambridge Seven Associates has designed a new hotel and retail complex for developer Carpenter & Company, renovating the former Sheraton Braintree and transforming it into a new Hyatt Place Hotel. The 374-room hotel is receiving a top to bottom renovation that will eliminate its castle-like appearance and update it with a modern exterior. All of the guestroom interiors and public spaces are also being redesigned by C7A to provide modern finishes and amenities, creating a more comfortable and inviting environment for travelers. The project includes demolition of 104,000 sf of the existing building, reducing the number of rooms to a new total of 204, and the addition of a new and vibrant retail development with multiple restaurants as well as 30,000 square feet of retail space.
