Cambridge Seven Associates served as Architect-of-Record for the renovation of The Colonnade, a 285-room luxury hotel located in the heart of Boston's fashionable Back Bay/Copley Square neighborhood. Home to many visiting dignitaries to the region, the Colonnade is considered a destination business hotel. C7A collaborated with Alexandra Champalimaud Associates to design the interiors. The lobby is an exercise in elegant, modern restraint. Restored
travertine floors, with accents of marble and dark millwork, create a
hip urban setting while the sleek, modern guestrooms feature a blend of geometric patterns comprised of blonde woods, chrome and soothing chocolate browns with purple accents.
