Cambridge Seven created a master plan and phased approach to transform the Beechwood to a 4-star hotel. The first phase led to the adaptive reuse of an adjacent retail building which was connected to the hotel via a bridge and new porte-cochere. In the second phase, five floors of guest rooms were renovated, with upper floor rooms transformed into deluxe suites with fireplaces. In the third phase, the existing restaurant was relocated and new banquet facilities, conference spaces and a lobby were designed. The banquet hall, richly furnished in custom fabrics and carpets, is paneled in cherry toned mahogany and lighted by ten 5’ diameter custom chandeliers. A Chapel, adjacent to the new banquet facilities, was saved by the Beechwood Hotel and restored by Cambridge Seven.
