As part of BCM's architectural expansion, C7A was asked to provide
conceptual exhibit and graphic design for two galleries: Science
Playground and The Common.
The Common is a large public gathering area that transforms from an interactive
children’s gallery to a special events space (with seating for 180). The gallery features games, including a giant floor maze, shadow games, a patterns light table, musical chairs, and an oversized chess set. For special events, the interactives easily store in whimsical, origami-inspired boxes along the walls. Metallic coil curtains create a central participatory media zone and then pull out of the way for special events.
