The Current Science and Technology Center presents and interprets discoveries and innovations virtually as they occur. Aided by a versatile new digital production studio, a direct access multimedia database, and real-time communications with researchers in the field, Museum educators offer live presentations that engage visitors in exploring science in our lives. The platform serves the presenter as the news desk, television studio and control hub of an open two-level theater with large-screen displays and a multi-channel surround soundscape. The adjacent 2,500 sf exhibit space features flexible changing kiosks with large-screen displays and interactive touch-screens supplementing science-in-the-news stories. Designed by Cambridge Seven Associates with Magian Design Studios.
