Cambridge Seven developed exhibits related to the history of the department.  In addition to renovating and expanding the Laboratory for Complex Systems for the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics at MIT, this exhibit describes MIT’s role in the history of flight, which is told in timeline form on both sides of a series of columns along a raised walkway separating the library from open teaching space. Scaled, mahogany models are showcased in the Wright Brothers’ Wind Tunnel, and the fritted glass wall of the library reveals silhouettes of air and space vehicles depicted in relative size on the ends of moving stacks. The exhibits are intended to highlight the department and attract new faculty and students.
