Working with Museum staff, Cambridge Seven developed an exhibit and architectural master plan for an expansion of the Museum of Discovery and Science. Exhibits illustrate the three themes of technology, humanity, and the environment. A fourth theme area, the Discovery Center, was designed for the youngest children. The technology exhibits focus on global communications and include a working television studio and an Internet center. The masterplan expands the Museum's existing Florida Ecoscapes habitat and augments the environmental exhibits with a hurricane research center. The humanity exhibits, which focus on health, feature a real Medivac helicopter, body imaging equipment, and a walk-in cell. The Discovery Center accommodates many new exhibits, including a submarine play structure, dress-up areas, mazes, and simple machines.
