C7A's design for Hard Rock Honolulu creates a dynamic, authentic experience of rock and roll, great food, and a cultural connection to the island in a comfortable, warm, energized setting. Visitors enter the Rock Shop at the ground level
and are introduced to an unusual series of geometries designed to
expand the sense of space and create an engaging retail atmosphere. A
“guitar waterfall,” composed of a volcanic Rock Wall, wraps the
elevator core and undulates upwards two stories to the rafters of the
Café on the second floor, creating the experience of hundreds of flying
guitars flowing in a dramatic pattern. The water theme is further
augmented with a dramatic “half-pipe wave” suspended over the bar.
Hard Rock Honolulu is the first Café to attain
LEED Silver Certification.
