Cambridge Seven designed the Innova Design Center in Houston, a 500,000 sf, 10-story showroom facility serving the contract and residential furnishing industry of the Southwest. Part of Greenway Plaza, a 127-acre mixed-use development west of downtown Houston, Innova is also the headquarters of the Houston chapter of the American Institute of Architects. A provocative circulation "canyon" is key to the Center's success. Cambridge Seven skewed a traditional atrium so that it cuts diagonally through all ten floors, from one side of the building to the other. The floors are connected by escalators, which allow tantalizing views of the tenant displays.
