A Centerpiece for a Civic Park

Cambridge Seven created a master plan for the 80-acre Orlando Centroplex site and designed this state-of-the-art, multi-use arena within the parkland. The arena, home of the 'Orlando Magic' NBA team, hosts sports, music, and civic events, seating 15,000 spectators in equally sized lower and upper seating bowls. A generous, column-free public concourse surrounds the seating bowls at mid-level, providing convenient access to seating, concessions and public toilets. Cambridge Seven designed walls of glass and glass block to provide soft day lighting and dramatic night lighting for this "civic living room." The project was done in association with Lloyd Jones Fillpot.
