The North Carolina Zoological Park, located in Asheboro, North Carolina, reorganizes three African biomes to place animals in appropriate geographic groupings. The existing African Pavilion will be restored, and a new biome related to arid ecologies is planned. All exhibits will have new or expanded animal holding facilities. A new tram route through the exhibit will improve visitor comfort and enjoyment. The project was done in association with J. Hyatt Hammond Associates.
