The Natural Science Center of Greensboro (NSC) commissioned Cambridge Seven as the lead designer and Moser Mayer Phoenix Associates as Architect of Record to design a major aquarium expansion and renovation as part of NSC’s $20 million, seven-year master plan, which will be completed in three phases. The first phase includes a new museum entrance, visitor services, gallery renovations, and the new 23,000 sf SciQuarium addition. The new SciQuarium and exhibits by C7A are designed to enhance NSC’s capability to tell the story of water’s importance to life, adaptation and sustainability. They will include six major aquarium exhibits highlighting aquatic life in various settings.
