Located in Richmond, VA, the Nature Center is organized to trace the fall of the James River.  It focuses on the ecology of the James River, with 13 aquarium tanks, galleries, an education wing with labs, a boardroom, and a large auditorium, which can be divided into three classrooms. Visitors are introduced to the plants, animals, and ecological forces of the watershed. The design team incorporated realistic rockwork that is home to regional flora and several species of fish, invertebrates, reptiles, and amphibians, while adjacent participatory exhibits allow visitors to increase their awareness or test their knowledge of their local environment. Cambridge Seven worked in association with Bond Comet Westmoreland + Hiner on the project.
