Merrimack College engaged Cambridge Seven to design renovations for the Lawler Ice Arena. The scope of work was completed in two phases to accommodate the hockey season. The scope of work included designing an entirely new seating bowl for 2,000 fans. The new "full seat" system replaced the original wood bleaches from the '70's. C7A also renovated the press box by relocating it to a more advantageous position in the bowl, allowing for an increase in seating capacity. In conjunction with engineering consultants, RDK Engineers and Goldstein-Milano, Cambridge Seven upgraded MEP dehumidification systems, augmented lighting and corrected structural issues associated with seismic upgrades. Finally, C7A developed a graphics package for the arena to celebrate Merrimack's history in Division I Hockey.
