C7A, in association with Gulf Consult, was commissioned by Kuwait University to design the College of Business Administration (CBA). Planned for a total of 4,000 students, the CBA will be a unique new teaching and research facility housing eight major departments: Accounting, Economics, Finance, Management, Marketing, Quantitative Methods, Information Systems and Public Administration. It will include classrooms, lecture/case study rooms, an administration office suite, department faculty offices, a Trading Floor Center, the Center of Excellence, an exhibition hall, an administrative office suite, faculty offices and conference rooms, prayer rooms, food service, lounges, and resource centers. Garden terraces create a landscape of exterior spaces following the stepped roof, providing shade and drawing in naturally cooled air. The project is designed to attain LEED Silver certification.
