Cambridge Seven, in association with Gulf Consult, was commissioned to design a unique undergraduate teaching and research facility for Kuwait University's Marine Science Program. The building, as a campus on the coast, is designed as three distinctive elements: a laboratory wing; an administrative and classroom wing; and connecting lobby space for student gatherings and exhibits, supported by a marine/harbor facility for nine research boats. Clustering of office and common spaces promotes interaction and creates a sense of community.
