Leaving Our Mark on the Boston Children’s Museum |

All of us involved with the design and construction of the expansion of the Boston Children’s Museum were thrilled to participate in the “topping off” of the project, a beloved yet mysterious tradition. About 50 team members signed the whitewashed steel beam before a crane placed it into position atop the new wing. Following custom, a miniature evergreen tree and an American flag were strapped to the beam as it was hoisted into place. The expansion will be complete in late summer 2007.
