Consistently Green
Cambridge Seven Associates takes a sustainable approach to all of our architectural projects, whether the client plans to go for formal certification or not. C7A uses the U.S. Green Building Council standards, as well as other guidelines, to monitor a responsible approach to sustainable design. Specifically, issues of orientation, energy sources, and renewable material sources, are evaluated relative to the client’s budget goals and long term operational benefits. With the expertise of our exhibit staff, C7A is also uniquely positioned to interpret the green aspects of our projects, for students and the public to appreciate.

C7A’s experience in the incorporation of sustainable green design involves:
• Energy Use (including energy efficiency, embodied energy, air and water quality )
• Materials Selection (including materials longevity, durability and resource efficiency)
• Waste Stream (from construction, demolition, and the overall building waste stream and its recyclable potential)
• Life-Cycle Costs (model cost alternates based on longer term cycles instead of initial cost only)
