The new Hard Rock Honolulu will be the first Hard Rock Cafe to achieve LEED certification. Consistent with the brand's "Save the Planet" creed, the 13,000 sf cafe features several eco-friendly features, including self-regulating, energy-efficient lighting and water-conserving plumbing features. In addition, millwork paneled walls composed of a series of cases made from rapidly renewable bamboo panels project from the walls to house authentic rock and roll memorabilia related to the Hawaiian Islands, while surfboards from the original Hard Rock Honolulu are displayed in the new venue, carrying on the legacy for a whole new generation.
